Our Little Rock Family

At the heart of 88.5 Rock FM is a vibrant and dynamic Little Rock family. Our host family houses a wide circle of brands and businesses, and just like our radio station, we are dynamic and rocking in everything we do.

Everything we do takes its lead from our founder, Mr. Rockcliff Syomen Christie, an engineer and businessman who is no longer with us in this dimensional plane, but whose spirit continues to guide us in all that we build.

Little Rock Guyana is now managed and operated by his beloved daughter, Naomi Eglantine Christie — born to Rockcliff and Pearl Christie — together with her family and team. Naomi serves as our CEO and is an Attorney at Law and legal educator by profession, admitted to the Guyana Bar in October 2013. She read law at the University of Guyana, earned her Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad — where she took the Justice Jessel Hannays Memorial Prize for best performance in the Law of Remedies — and completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at New York University School of Law in 2015. She is also an author; her books include Little Rock Paradise, her legal memoir My Anchored Purpose, and Combing Through Legacy — the Little Rock story. Two lives — legal and media; one Naomi, one life. Together, we blend our voices and our individual uniqueness to bring you a rainbow of brands, a family name for our wholesome community of Berbice.

Born and raised in the county of Berbice (born 30 December 1989), our CEO was once a humble lad (gyal) at Mutli, where she spent most of her school days. Every afternoon her father would pick her up, and on those drives together he prepared her, moment by moment, for the role she holds today.

Those afternoon drives bore fruit early. In November 2008, Stabroek News told the country about a “Berbice girl” who had just been confirmed as Guyana’s top student at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations for 2006 to 2008 — five Grade One passes, with Distinctions in Law and in Caribbean Studies, and an Associate Degree in Humanities from the Caribbean Examinations Council. The eighteen-year-old from Vryman’s Erven told the paper her success came “with the help of God, through his perfect guidance and support” — and thanked her parents, Pearl and Rockcliff Christie, her teachers at NAMS, and her aunt Devika. A champion of the J.O.F. Haynes debating stage, Mashramani drama, and Caribbean Court of Justice mooting, she went straight on to read law at the University of Guyana — and the rest is the story you are reading.

She became a mother in 2026 — her son is known as Justus Rock. On her first Mother’s Day, in May 2026, she launched her books as a tribute to him — the afternoon drives that once prepared her now passing, in ink, to the next generation. She is now preparing him to carry this family legacy forward for our community, so that Little Rock Guyana continues to serve a purpose in international humanity for generations to come.
